A key component of our mission at High Plains Paleontology, we seek to share what we've learned about the ancient world. we also recognize a need to provide educational opportunities in Natural History and strive to educate the general public on many different facets of paleontology and why it is important in our world today.
It is our hope to deliver educational programming in paleontology to various school group via in-person and remote outreach opportunities with the goal of serving schools and interested communities in several states.
This brand of educational delivery allows us to delve into topics that are typically scant in state earth science ciricculums. As a natural history focused orginization, we enjoy many benefits often found in museum education, namely that students can engage without any pressure. No tests, quizzes or exams. This has been cited by many to be a more effective environment for learning science and other topics. The lack of pressure allows students to engage more earnestly with content and it is this pressure free environment that we hope to create.
